Hi everyone! My name is Dr. Bich Nhat Le. I am the proud owner and doctor at Eyeris Vision. I am also a proud wife to my wonderful and supportive husband, William, and mama to my two active boys, Theodore and Toby.

What is the proudest thing I have ever done? Being a mother, hands down. I would never see myself giving that answer when I was 20 years old. But since having my children, being the mother is the hardest and proudest title I have ever had and earned.

What are the qualities you look for in a doctor when you are the patient? Being a doctor is more than just a degree and being intelligent. I think the most important characteristic I look for is a provider who is sympathetic, patient, and a good listener. They will be able to listen and address my concerns when raised.

How will you describe the sunrise to a blind man? The sunrise is one of the most magical things you can look at. The morning glory of orange and yellow colors emerging from the horizon onto the sky is very symbolic for ourselves emerging from the night to take on the day. It is one of my favorite things to look at whenever I am awake that time of day (when I am not running around getting the kids ready for school) or during our camping trips.

My advice to my younger self is best described by my favorite quote from Master Oogway of Kung Fu Panda: “There is a saying: yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the Present”.
 

Interesting facts about me:

• I prefer savory food compared to sweet food.

• I have an adventurous food palate so I will try almost anything once.

• My heart smiles on the simplest things: watching my kids sleeping, my toddler running to the door to greet me when coming home from work, or when the boys pause their shenanigans and show each other some brotherly love.

Educational Background:

Dr. Le graduated from Texas A & M University in Kingsville with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Her Optometry degree was from Pennsylvania College of Optometry - Salus University in Pennsylvania.

Professional Achievements:

Dr. Le is dedicated to and passionate about her patient's care. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of medical ocular diseases, diabetic eye exams, glaucoma, routine eye exam and specialty contact lenses (keratoconus, post surgical corneal transplant, RK/PRK/Lasik procedures).

Clinical Training:

Her extensive clinical training was gained from Levin & Luminais Eye Associates (Thorndale, PA for ocular pathology), Woodbury Eye Associates (Woodburby, NJ for primary care and specialty contact lenses), Phoenix Indian Medical Hospital (Phoenix, AZ for ocular pathology), Baribeau Lasik Eye Institute (San Antonio, TX for ocular pathology, surgical, pre/post operative care), and the Eye Institute & Contact Lens Specialty Services (Philadelphia, PA for specialty contact lens for keratoconus and other corneal diseases).

Certifications and Memberships:

Dr. Le is board certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. She is licensed with the Texas Optometry Board. Affiliated associations include the American Optometric Associations, Texas Optometric Associations, and the Central Texas Optometric Society.

Hi! I’m Merylan! You can call me Mery for short. 

I was born and raised in the Philippines and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 
I am a mom of a pretty and wonderful daughter. 
I’m your EyeRis Vision remote assistant and a pro in answering questions about vision plans and insurance benefits at our office.

Interesting Facts about me: 

I’m good with children. 
I also love watching romantic comedy movies like the Fifty First Dates.
My favorite Filipino dish is Sinigang, a sour soup native to the Philippines. It is rated the number one soup in the world!

My advice to my younger self: 

Embrace every moment!!

Hey there Partner! My name is Justin. I’m actually from Austin.

I’m the only guy at EyeRis Vision.
I don’t have a nickname but sometimes I wear a cowboy hat in the office. 

Interesting Facts about me:

I love riding motorcycles.
I have a small dog (Brussels Griffon named Ronnie), and two cats (Bader a black cat and Helmet a orange cat). 
We all eat pizza together on Friday nights.

Hey Ya! I’m Alyssa but I go by Kate.

I was born and raised in the Philippines (Pearl of the Orient Seas). 
An office assistant here at EyeRis Vision and a professional who loves thinking outside the box.
I’m married to a loving husband and a mom of 3 furbabies 
(Hercules the Dobie, Psalmy the GSD Labrador and Cooper the MinPin).

Interesting facts about me:

I’m a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management
but right now I’m always in scrubs. Half of my family are nurses (You know “Filipinos”). 
The apple never falls far from the tree. I’m also a part-time cook/baker at home, and a full-time napper. 
Family is the most important thing to me. I’m an Island girl in a big city. 
I enjoy riding my electric scooter, Karaoke, taking care of my plants, 
collecting hot wheels and swimming with the whale sharks. #Blessed
 

My Advice to my younger self: 

Take things slow, don’t worry too much, and don’t stop praying!

​​​​​Hey Wasszup! I’m Hugo. I’m originally an Arizona native, but I’ve spent most of my life right here in the heart of Austin. When I’m not at my desk, I’m usually hanging out with my wonderful daughter and niece or—and I’m serious about this “perfecting my lawn thing”. There’s just something about a freshly mowed yard and watching the local birds and squirrels reclaim their territory that makes my day. A few fun things about me: I prefer “Breakfast for Dinner”. If it’s 7:00 PM and you smell bacon and eggs, that’s probably me. It’s the ultimate meal. Poker Night, I’m a big fan of a friendly (but competitive!) poker game with my buddies. If I could hop in a time machine and give my younger self one piece of advice, it would be to go all-in on Apple and Amazon stock. (I’d be writing this from a private island, lol!) I’m thrilled to be part of the team!

​​​​​Howdy y’all! I’m Anna, a South Carolina native here in good ole’ Texas. As a former hair stylist, dental hygienist, and Reiki Master Teacher, I enjoy helping people feel and look their best. As an optometric assistant here at EyeRis Vision, my favorite part of my work is helping put patients at ease and getting to see the smile on their faces when they find the perfect frame that not only helps them take in this beautiful world more clearly but also adds the perfect touch to their daily style.

Interesting facts about me:
-I have two fur babies, Kiwi and Jelly, my sweet little doggos <3
-In my free time, you can find me practicing yoga, hiking, and sleeping under the stars when the weather is nice enough for camping :)
-I love organizing, and if you were to open my closet at home, you would find everything placed in order by category and color. There’s just something so pleasing about having everything in order and so tidy that it frees up energy for my mind to feel clearer and heart lighter. With that said, you’ll often find me out in the front of the office, cleaning and organizing the frames and straightening the chairs so the space feels like a breath of fresh air when you walk in.
